Carolina Panthers defeated Atlanta Falcons 25-15 at the Bank of America Stadium on Thursday Night Football and the unused substitute Baker Mayfield showed his excitement after the victory. The former  overall   No. 1 pick of the Cleveland Browns headbutted his teammates without wearing a helmet after win against the Falcons.

Quarterback P.J. Walker, who started for the fifth consecutive game of the season for the Panthers, completed 10 of 16 passes for 108 yards in the Panthers' victory. His backup Mayfield was pumped up following the Panthers placekicker  Eddy Pineiro's 37-yard field goal that registered the victory.

The 27-year-old Baker celebrated Carolina Panthers victory by banging his head into his teammates. During his post-game excitement, Baker was not wearing a helmet, which might have raised eyebrows from the Panthers staff and medical experts.

Carolina Panthers registered their third victory of the NFL 2022-23 season after playing 10 games and currently at the bottom of the National Football Conference (NFC) South division. 

Mayfield started for the Panthers in the first five games of the season before being injured. The quarterback has thrown for 1,117 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions in his six appearances so far.

The Panthers are scheduled to face Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at the M & T Bank Stadium.
