On Friday, January 24, Indian cricketer Paras Dogra completed an unbelievable catch in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25. With the sixth round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 underway, defending champions Mumbai are playing Jammu and Kashmir at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC in Mumbai.
After Day 1 of the match saw Mumbai get bundled out at the scoe of 120, they took the field once again on the following day. While the two Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma got out, having scored 26 and 28 runs respectively, Mumbai skipper Ajinkya Rahane also could not stay long in the middle as he was dismissed by Paras Dogra, who took a brilliant catch.

On Day 2 of the ongoing match, Jammu and Kashmir bowlers wreaked havoc as seven Mumbai batters departed with the scoreboard reading 101/7. The J&K captain, Paras Dogra pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss the Mumbai skipper. The moment came when J&K pacer Umar Nazir bowled a fullish delivery outside off stump. Rahane, who was on strike, looked to play a drive, but played a poor shot with the ball landing between mid-off and cover.
Dogra, who was stationed at mid-off, ran towards his left and made a full stretch dive to catch the ball, mid-air. The video of Paras Dogra’s one-handed stunner grabbed several eyeballs, along with BCCI Domestic’s official X handle also sharing the video. “What. A. Catch. Speaking of Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy match against J&K, with the top-order departing in quick succession, Shardul Thakur and Tanush Kotian stitched a crucial 100-run plus partnership. While Shardul scored 74 off 79 deliveries, Tanush Kotian played a 69-ball 42, at the time of writing. With this, the defending champions have posted a lead of over 130 runs.
