Los Angeles Lakers faced  a 10-point defeat against the Western Conference toppers, Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center on Tuesday night. However, things got heated between Lakers guard Patrick Beverley and Suns center Deandre Ayton in the final quarter of the game, resulting into the 34-year-old Lakers' ejection.

The Lakers entered the Tuesday night game against the Suns on a three-game winning streak, which was the best run for the Anthony Davis and company so far in this season.

With 3:55 remaining in the fourth quarter, Lakers shooting guard Austin Reaves went down against Suns guard Devin Booker's challenge. Reaves was fouled by Booker during a failed block attempt and the Suns duo of Booker and Deandre Ayton were standing over the Lakers guard. Patrick Beverley intervened the matter and pushed Ayton on the ground as things got heated between the two sides.

Ayton, who fell outside the bounds, looked back and immediately stood on his feet to confront Beverley, however, he was blocked by Lakers center Anthony Davis, who was  dunked and stared by Ayton on the previous play.

After reviewing the foul, Booker was pressed with flagrant 1 foul while Patrick Beverley was ejected from the game as the Suns went on to win against the Lakers by 10 points.  With 43.7 seconds remaining, Devin Booker fouled out of the game and told TNT’s Chris Haynes postgame,  "Pat needs to stop pushing people in the back, man. Push them in the chest. That’s all I have to say."

Phoenix Suns lead the Western Conference standings with 11 victories in 17 games while Los Angeles Lakers are placed second-last in the points table with five victories in 16 games so far this season.
