Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City took on Leeds United in their 15th game of the season. Although City registered a comprehensive win, there were several edgy moments in the game. Guardiola, who is often animated, was feeling the nerves throughout the 90 minutes. He also looked frustrated at silly mistakes made by his players, especially Jack Grealish in the middle. Guardiola vented out his frustration at an empty water bottle lying on the ground.

In the 83rd minute of the play, Guardiola looked frustrated at something, and he vented it out at an empty water bottle lying in front of the sitting area. Guardiola kicked the bottle with all his might, but it hit one of the staff members sitting on Leeds’ bench. The City manager instantly regretted his action and ran towards the staff member to apologize.

Coming to the match, City won it comprehensively 3-1 as Erling Haaland scored a brace. The Norwegian bettered his record as he scored in the 51st and 64th minutes. But it was Rodri who opened the scoring for City. The Spanish forward put back a late rebound to give the visitors the lead at the break. Meanwhile, Jack Grealish wasted two good opportunities to score as he could not direct straightforward passes into Leeds’ nets.

However, Haaland, who was born in Leeds while his father played for the club, doubled City's advantage early in the second half with the easiest of finishes after Grealish picked off the ball at midfield, charged into the penalty area and squared it to his teammate to roll into an empty net.

The city duo linked up again for City's third, working a lovely one-two in front of the Leeds goal and Haaland applying a perfect first-time finish to a return pass from Grealish for his 26th goal in all competitions this season.
