Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, got into a heated exchange with a fan on the street after a 0-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League. In the viral video on the social media platform X, a fan made a provocative statement about the recent loss for his team, to which Pep Guardiola angrily turned to confront him with a comment before his security team and the son stopped him from escalating the situation further.
Notably, the last weekend’s Premier League clash between defending champions Manchester City and challengers Liverpool was a one-sided contest which saw the hosts dominate the proceedings from start to finish. Cody Gapko opened the scoring on the night at Anfield for Liverpool in the 12th minute before Mohamed Salah converted a penalty in the 78th minute, to put the contest behind Manchester City.

Do you want to know what losing is, do you?: Pep Guardiola to fan
Just a few days later after this defeat, in a viral video on X, the fan was heard saying off camera to Pep Guardiola, “Mate, you’ve lost,” to which Manchester City fumed in anger. He turned back towards the fan and remarked, “Do you want to know what losing is, do you?,” before seemingly approaching him to escalate the situation before he was stopped in his tracks by two people alongside him.
Moreover, Manchester City came back to winning ways in the meantime after struggling for the last month or so, getting the better of Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium with a 3-0 margin. This was their first victory for Manchester City after going winless in the last seven matches in all competition, wherein they were also eliminated from the EFL Cup by Tottenham.
