The 19th clash in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday was full of action as the match witnessed the first two individual centuries of the season. Virat Kohli smashed the first century of the IPL 2024 while Jos Buttler overshadowed Kohli's ton with his game-winning centurion knock. During the match, the home crowd supported Virat by chanting his name throughout the game while a fan invaded the pitch to meet the 35-year-old RCB batter.

After winning the toss, Sanju Samson invited Faf du Plessis' RCB to bat first and Virat Kohli went on to register an unbeaten knock of 113 runs in 72 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. Virat and Du Plessis (44-off-32) combined for a 125-run partnership for the first wicket as RCB placed an 184-run target.

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium echoed Kohli's name during his spectacular innings as he smashed a record eighth century in his IPL career. During the second innings, the home crowd chanted Kohli's name while a fan took his desperation to meet his idol Kohli to the next level as he breached the security and entered the pitch to meet Kohli. The fan was spotted wearing Kohli's RCB jersey and after meeting the former Indian skipper, he was escorted back to the stands by the stadium security.

Talking about the game, despite losing their first wicket (Yashasvi Jaiswal) in the first over, skipper Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler combined for a 148-run partnership for the second wicket, which is the highest partnership this season. Samson got dismissed at 69 runs in the 15th over when RR needed just 36 runs in 32 balls. Buttler smashed a sensational six to complete his century and help RR continue their perfect run in the IPL 2024.
