On Saturday at the APEX, UFC Vegas 73's lightweight main programme began with Michael Johnson and Ferreira facing off each other. Johnson, a fellow longtime UFC veteran was successful in the first round and for the majority of the second before Ferreira connected with one of the cleanest overhand to knock Johnson out. Johnson had won two of his previous three fights going into this one, but his last five fights had been a coin flip between wins and defeats.
Popular Instagram influencer and Tik Toker by the name Papiigiio however found the knockout to be funny and recreated the action in a short video. The video has since then gone viral on Instagram and has garnered over five thousand reactions.
Carlos Diego Ferreira's knockout victory against Michael Johnson at UFC event was a terrible one. His overall MMA record shows 19 losses, however just three of those defeats were by knockout.
