In the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, Team India are required to showcase their best to end the series in a stalemate. In the first innings, India got bundled out on 224 and following the total, the hosts looked ferocious. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett delivered a stupendous start to the English side and stitched a crucial 92-run stand for the opening wicket. Following the departure of both players, when Joe Root came in the middle, he exuded confidence with his bat. On his sixth delivery, he scored a four against Prasidh Krishna.
Following this, Krishna passed a comment to Root, who didn’t look composed and gave it back to the India pacer. Noting the scene, umpire Kumar Dharmasena intervened and spoke with Prasidh. KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill also went to the umpire and Krishna to listen to the chat.

Joe Root departs after scoring 29 in England's first innings
Joe Root, who smashed tons in the last two games, went back to the dugout after scoring 29 off 45. He became the victim of Mohammed Siraj, who trapped him in front of the stumps. Earlier, Siraj also got rid of skipper Ollie Pope. England are looking to hoard runs at a great pace to solidify their grasp in the match.
Team India will be required to pick up wickets to make a comeback. Siraj has bagged two wickets but he has splurged runs at an economy of 6.00. As of writing, England are 186/4 in 35 overs, with Harry Brook (unbeaten 18 off 23) and Jacob Bethell (unbeaten one off six) at the crease. Brook, who failed to produce quality innings in the previous couple of Tests, has looked in fine touch, so far. Noting his confidence, the visitors will have to dismiss him as soon as possible.
