The WWE superstar R-Truth hilariously named his new group, involving The Miz, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano, as “Regeneration-X,” on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The moment happened during a backstage segment at the SAP Center in San Jose when R-Truth was reminiscing about the good old days with Judgement Day before getting beaten up by them.
After R-Truth happily welcomed The Miz backstage, he addressed Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, the team commonly known as #DIY, as Triple H and Shawn Michaels of the D-Generation X, he told them about how the Judgement Day didn’t have his back like before. It led to Gargano talking about how they were going to cheer up Truth before Ciampa spoke about having a plan to take on Judgement Day.
When Tommaso Ciampa asked R-Truth, “Are you ready?” in the trademark Triple H style, he responded by hilariously saying, “I see, you trying to Regenerate something, right?, while displaying the “X” gesture of the D-Generation X. And then, Truth named the group involving himself, Miz, Ciampa, and Gargano as “Regeneration-X.”
In the weeks leading up to this moment, R-Truth considered himself a member of the Judgement Day, one of the most prominent groups in WWE involving the likes of Finn Balor, Damien Priest, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Rhea Ripley. He had a hilarious run lasting a few months before Judgement Day kicked him out for good measure.
With that, the newly named group of Regeneration-X could likely go toe-to-toe in an eight-man tag team match against the Judgement Day on WWE Raw.
