Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals Women registered a comfortable win against UP Warriorz on Tuesday (7 March). India women all-rounder Radha Yadav yet again proved that she is one of the finest fielders with her brilliant catch during the game between Delhi Capitals Women & UP Warriorz.

In the 11th over of the UP Warriorz innings, Deepti Sharma hit Shikha Pandey’s length delivery towards long-on. Radha, who was stationed at long on bought in some pace as she flew forward to complete a stunning diving catch to cut short Deepti Sharma’s innings in the middle.

Talking about the match, UP Warriorz won the toss and invited Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals to bat first. The side posted 211/4 in their 20 over quota. The skipper scored a well made half century (70 off 42 balls) along with Jess Jonassen being another contributor with the bat with her 20-ball 42. The Delhi Capitals Women then restricted the Warriorz side to 169/5, with Tahila McGrath’s unbeaten 90 going in vain.

 

With three wickets to her name, Jess Jonassen won the player of the match with the Delhi Capitals winning the game by 42 runs. The Lanning-led side will next square off against Mumbai Indians at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy on Thursday (9 March).
