As India lock horns with New Zealand in Kanpur, there is another red-ball game happening in another continent which many fans are keeping a close eye on. India A are playing against South Africa A in the first unofficial Test where many youngsters are in action. While it was a great opportunity for them, Rahul Chahar unfortunately failed to grasp his chance.

The leg-spinner did not have much assistance from a flat wicket at Mangaung Oval and he was constantly getting frustrated because of lack of wickets. The opposition batsmen were growing in confidence and were easily hitting the India A bowlers for easy runs.

Chahar loses his temper on umpire

Considering how difficult it was getting to scalp wickets, Rahul Chahar absolutely lost his temper when a half-chance created by him was denied by the umpire. It all happened on the final delivery of 128th over when the leg-spinner struck the pads of wicketkeeper batsman Sinethemba Qeshile while bowling from round the wicket.

The ball certainly pitched in line but the only doubt was regarding the height. The on-air commentators opined that the ball might be going over the stumps, which is what the umpire also thought as he turned down the huge appeal from Chahar and his teammates. But it was his reaction which was undoubtedly unacceptable!

Being left frustrated with the decision, the 22-year-old threw his sunglasses on the ground before arguing with the umpire. The incident clearly happened in the heat of moment as the spinner calmed down later on, but it is very likely that he might face some warning or punishment from officials after the end of match.

It wasn't a great outing for Chahar as ended the first innings with figures of 28.3-0-125-1 as South Africa A posted a mammoth total of 509/7 on board. In reply, the visitors also played well in the batting friendly conditions as they ended Day 3 at 308/4.
