India A took on arch-rivals Pakistan in the final of ACC Men’s Emerging Cup final 2023 on July 23, Sunday. India skipper Yash Dhull won the toss and opted to bowl first, and putting on a great display of game, the Men in Blue dismissed four Pakistan batters within 28 overs. However, it was Saim Ayub’s dismissal off Rajvardhan Hangargekar’s delivery that caught eyeballs.

The India pacer dismissed the left-handed Pakistan batter when he was batting on 17. Wicketkeeper grabbed the ball successfully, but turned out that the delivery was a no-ball as Hangargekar failed to keep his foot in the crease. Needless to say, the decision came as a big relief for the Pakistan side. Ayub later got dismissed off a Manav Suthar delivery after scoring 59 runs, combined with seven boundaries and two maximums.

Hangargekar’s no-ball dismissal brought back several memories for the Indian fans, and they were reminded of the 2017 Champions Trophy final. During the game, Jasprit Bumrah gave a reprieve to Fakhar Zaman by dismissing him off a no ball. In the game, Zaman went on to score a century and the Men in Green won the trophy.
