Mumbai Indians have got off to a flying start against Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium on Friday. While quite a few experts and fans would have expected the pair of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan to help Mumbai to good starts more often, unfortunately, that hasn't happened.

However, on Friday, Rohit wasted no time and looked in sublime touch right from the word go. He played a few gorgeous drives to begin before playing a scoop on a Mohammed Shami ball over fine leg and pulling one 150 kmph ball from Lockie Ferguson for a boundary.

Even luck seemed to favour the five-time champions as not Kishan's inside edges went for boundaries but during the seventh over, Rashid Khan committed a hilarious misfield. The leg-spinner did well to reach the ball but threw his ball onto his leg after which he conceded an overthrow to help Kishan get back for two.

Here is the video:

However, later it was Rashid himself who broke the 74-run opening partnership as he removed a dangerous-looking Rohit for 43 off 28 balls, getting him leg before wicket.
