After posting 144 on-board, Afghanistan bowlers have made a brilliant start as they have picked up 2 wickets in first 10 overs. After a cautious start, Sri Lankan opener Kusal Mendis was starting to free his arms but Rashid Khan dismissed him in first over.
The number one T20I bowler in the world started off in a brilliant fashion as he bowled a dot ball. However, Mendis managed to sneak a single courtesy of a misfield from Faizal. Rashid was livid with the fielder and although he got his man in the 5th delivery, Rashid expressed his disappointment to the fielder as he pushed Faizal when he ran in to congratulate the bowler for taking wicket.

Notably, it is a must-win game for both the teams as the loser will be out of the tournament. Currently, New Zealand and Australia are seated in top 2 in Group 1 and Sri Lanka and Afghanistan need a win here to challenge the top 2 teams for knockout stage contention.
