The Cristiano Ronaldo transfer saga has continued over the 2022 summer transfer window as several reports surfaced that the Portuguese striker wanted to leave Manchester United for playing in the Champions League after a disappointing 2021-22 season.

But recently a small group of fans were seen pleading to the Los Blancos President Florentino Perez to bring back their star striker to the Bernabeu. These fans were staying at the same hotel as the European champions in Helsinki for the UEFA Super Cup and saw Perez walking by.

The group asked him to bring Ronaldo back to the club but the President ignored them on their first attempt. However, after asking a second time, Perez finally turned around. "Who?" he answered, followed by a stinging follow-up: "Cristiano? Again? He's 38 years old."

With speculation about Ronaldo asking to leave Manchester United, he missed the majority of the team’s pre-season. Similarly, he started from the bench in their Premier League opener against Brighton. He came on in the second half but couldn’t lead the team to a comeback as they suffered a 2-1 defeat.
