The Rohit Sharma-led Team India are putting up an all-round performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies. However, they are unbeaten in the marquee event, they finished the group stage with three wins in four games, while one of their matches ended in a no result. After topping the Group A standing, they comfortably moved on to the Super 8s.
The Men in Blue began their Super 8 with a win against Afghanistan. Top ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah played crucial role in India’s 47-run win over the Afghans at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. After the conclusion of the match, Suryakumar Yadav addressed the press conference and in a hilarious incident, he was mistaken as Mohammed Siraj.
In what was a moment of humour, a journalist mistakenly called Suryakumar Mohammed Siraj to which he quickly responded with a smile, adding “Siraj toh nahi hai, yaar… Siraj bhai khana kha rahe hai.” His response with a relaxed demeanor quickly went viral on social media.
The video of the same was also shared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on their social media platforms, with the caption reading, “Galti se mistake ho jati hai, Surya bhai.”
