Former Australia cricketer Ricky Ponting has been a master of cricket analysis. The legendary Australian skipper has pointed at batters’ techniques and flaws to perfection in the past and continues to do so even now. The former skipper did the same once again during the ongoing Test match between Australia and South Africa.
During the first day of the ongoing 1st Test between Australia and South Africa at the Gabba, Nathan Lyon who was halfway to his fourth over, got his man in Marco Jansen cheaply. The tall South African batter was caught by Cameron Green at the score of 2 off 19 balls.
Although it was a normal wicket at the Gabba, the highlight of that wicket was Ricky Ponting’s prediction. Just before the dismissal, Ponting was talking about the pressure which was on Lyon after he had conceded eight runs already in his 3.4 overs. Looking for a wicket, the former Aussie cricketer predicted the wicket and Lyon hoped to have listened to the commentator as he got Marco Jansen in the very next one.

Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and elected to field first in the 1st Test. The visitors have had a forgettable day so far in the ongoing Test as the Proteas s ide was bowled out for the score of 152. The Australia pacers shone on the Gabba green top as Starc and Cummins led the way early with Boland’s double-wicket over.
