The highly anticipated Laver Cup featuring the greats of the game kick start in London on September 23 with Casper Ruud of Team Europe taking on Team World's Jack Sock in the singles contest at Centre Court.

While the competition has always hogged a lot of limelight for delivering quality contest, all eyes are on 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer who will be representing Team Europe also featuring the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Matteo Berrettini (alternate), Stefanos Tsitsipas and Cameron Norrie.

Ahead of Casper Rude vs Jock Sock's singles match, spectators in London were treated with a starry line-up of Team Europe. As expected, Federer received the loudest round of applause and a standing ovation from the spectators as he walked out to join his teammates in the middle.

The pair of Federer-Nadal is regarded as one of the most iconic pairs comprising rivals of the game. The duo played 40 times over a decade, including in nine Grand Slam finals, with the Spaniard holding a 24-16 winning record.

The competition also features Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, both part of a six-member strong Team Europe, in a fitting and glittering climax to Federer’s career. Italy’s Matteo Berrettini will take Federer’s place for the final two days of the three-day Laver Cup tournament.
