Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has been one of the greatest tennis players in history as he dominated the sport for over a decade. In this he won Grand Slams across the globe including the iconic Wimbledon which he won eight times. So, with these many titles, one would think Federer must have a free entry at the All-England Club where the Championships is held.

Wrong.

Federer, while talking on ‘The Daily Show’ to Trever Noah, revealed that he was denied entry into the club a few weeks ago. The Swiss Maestro was in London and wanted to visit the All-England Club to kill some time. But as he rolled up to the guest entry, he was stopped by security.

Federer tried convincing the security lady that whenever he comes to the club, he is a player but she still doesn't allow him to enter. So, the 41-year-old in a state of panic told her that he has won the tournament eight times and hence he is a lifetime member.

He said, “She’s like, 'Well at the side, but you have to be a member.' So I look at her one last time and I’m in a panic now. I’m so sorry, I still can’t believe I said that, I still feel bad about it, and I look at her and I was like, ‘I have won this tournament eight times. Please believe me, I am a member and where do I get in?" Later a security spotted Roger Federer and asked him for a selfie. He then helped him enter the club and arrange things for the 20-time Grand Slam winner.
