On Sunday, February 11, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were spotted at the Mumbai airport, presumably travelling to Rajkot to play the third Test of the five-match series against England in four days. After levelling the Test series at 1-1 in Visakhapatnam on February 5, the Indian cricket team have been on a mini break.
The photographer Viral Bhayani was on hand, catching Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill make their way into the Mumbai airport in two separate videos. Both Indian cricketers seemed reasonably happy while getting recorded by the paparazzi, working away at their smartphones before going through requisite security checks to enter the airport facility.
Notably, the third Test of the highly entertaining Test series between India and England will begin on February 15, at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Both these cricket teams played a Test match at this venue in 2016, which ended in a draw after batters scored a truckload of runs.
In the ongoing five-match series, England won the first Test by 28 runs in Hyderabad, making a great comeback against India through highly inspiring performances from Ollie Pope and the debutant Tom Hartley after conceding a 190-run first-innings lead. The second Test in Visakhapatnam saw India deliver a quality performance, especially with the ball, to get the better of England by 106 runs to level the series.
Some of the top performers from the second Test from India were Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill, while the captain Rohit Sharma managed to marshall his bowling resources in an impressive manner too.
