On July 29, Saturday, India were beaten in the second ODI of the three-match series by the West Indies with a six wicket margin at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. During this 50-overs international, the captain of Team India, who had made himself unavailable for the game, was spotted on camera bullying Yuzvendra Chahal in the dugout, while Virat Kohli and Jaydev Unadkat, who were sitting alongside, watched on.
Notably, the captain of the West Indies, Shai Hope, had won the toss on the day and decided to field first. The openers from Team India, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill put up a 90-run partnership for the first wicket within 17 overs. But from this point onwards, everything went wrong for the visitors in the second ODI.
The batting lineup of the Indian cricket team crumbled under the sustained pressure put by the Caribbean fast bowlers and spinners alike. They were bundled out for 181 in 40.5 overs as Ishan Kishan top-scored with 55 at a run-a-ball.

During the run chase, when West Indies were in a comfortable position of 114-4 in 23.4 overs, the camera panned to the Indian dugout, where Rohit Sharma was seen slapping Yuzvendra Chahal on the back of the head in a playful manner, before hitting him constantly on his back, which visibly hurt the leg-spin bowler.

Shai Hope, who was batting alongside Keacy Carty in the middle at that stage, went on to stage a 91-run undefeated stand with him, to help his team get over the line with more than 13 overs to spare. The first win for West Indies against India in the 50-overs format since December 2019, has brought about a decider in the ODI series, which is now tied at 1-1.
