India DRS

In the ongoing second ODI between India and West Indies, captain Rohit Sharma made the right call while taking DRS. Sharma took the referral despite not having too much conviction but still got it bang on. In the ninth over of the West Indies innings, Darren Bravo missed the ball by a slight margin. The wicketkeeper and the bowler appealed and looked pretty confident.

However, the other fielders around the batsman did not look too convinced and were indicating that the noise came from the bat hitting the pad. Rohit Sharma himself looked in a dilemma on whether to refer the decision to the third umpire or not. But the captain took a chance anyway and signaled with T-sign with six seconds left. And as it turned out, Sharma was right on taking the referral as the snicko meter showed a spike while the ball passed the outside edge of the bat.

Rishabh Pant also had a role to play in the successful review from India as he convinced Sharma to go for it.

Four in four for Rohit

It was the fourth successful review for Rohit Sharma in a row in this series. He got all the three referrals in the 1st ODI right and then got the first one on point in the second game. Sharma has displayed great captaincy skills so far after taking charge as a full-time captain. He has made the right bowling changes and it looks like his luck with DRS is also helping in India. Before Rohit, India did not have a great record while reviewing the umpire's decision.

Prasidh Krishan impresses

Talking about the bowling from India, Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Siraj started the proceedings with the ball. The first few overs went quietly but the West Indies opening duo of Shai Hope and Brandon King started finding boundaries with ease. However, it did not last long as Prasidh Krishan struck in his very first over to send back Brandon King.

The right-arm quick then returned in the next over to send Darren Bravo packing with a peach of a delivery. He also had his skipper's help in taking the second wicket though.
