In the Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians clash on Tuesday, the record-time IPL champions struggled with their death bowling as the hosts smashed 96 runs in the last six overs. However, one incident caught everyone’s eye, when MI skipper Rohit Sharma vented his frustration on his teammate Piyush Chawla over a fielding mistake.
Though the bowling of Piyush Chawla and Kumar Kartikeya managed to choke the run scorers in the middle overs, a brilliant show put up by Abhinav Manohar and David Miller powered the reigning champions to put 207 on the board. Needless to say, Gujarat Titans’ powerful hitting left Mumbai Indians agitated.
In the 17th over, Abhinav Manohar started his blazing inning with a well-placed shot toward the third man off a yorker from Riley Meredith. Piyush Chawla, who was stationed at the spot, could have easily stopped the delivery from touching the boundary. However, Chawla lost his focus, and the ball slipped between his legs, racing to the boundary. The incident left Rohit Sharma fuming with anger.

Sharma’s anger was turned into an outburst at Chawla’s fielding error, and he was clearly agitated while Piyush was disappointed at his own effort. Notably, Gujarat Titans defeated Mumbai Indians by a margin of 55 runs on April 25, Tuesday. They Hardik Pandya's men will next go head-to-head with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 29, Saturday.
