In the main event of WrestleMania 40 Saturday, Roman Reigns inadvertently speared his tag team partner The Rock, sending shockwaves through the jam-packed crowd present at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. But, Roman Reigns and The Rock recovered to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in their tag team match, to ensure that the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match on the next night will be contested under the Bloodline rules.
During the highly intense clash between four of the top superstars in WWE today, Roman Reigns looked primed and ready to take out Cody Rhodes with a spear. But, just in the nick of time, Seth Rollins pulled Cody Rhodes out of harm’s way, and it led to Roman Reigns spearing his flesh and blood, The Rock.
Moments later, Rollins hit the pedigree on Reigns, and Rhodes did the same on Rock, but they couldn’t manage to pin them. Towards the end of the tag team match, Cody Rhodes remained defiant in the face of adversity, but The Rock gave him the People’s Elbow before pinning him in the middle of the ring.
Roman Reigns kicks out reporter from WrestleMania 40 press conference
After securing a win against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 Saturday, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, who had teamed up with The Rock, attended the press conference. Although when one of the reporters failed to acknowledge him, Roman Reigns didn’t mess around in kicking her out of the press conference room.
Roman Reigns also spoke to the press about how he has got a lot of work to do the next night, WrestleMania 40 Sunday, where he will be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes under the Bloodline rules.
