The ongoing 26th match of the Indian Premier League has brought five-time champions Mumbai Indians up against Lucknow Super Giants at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma decided to field first in a must-win game, hoping to restrict the opponents to a low score. After a blistering start in the powerplay, Lucknow lost Quinton de Kock. KL Rahul and Manish Pandey took the onus and steadied the innings for their side.
During the game, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was seen sharing some words of wisdom with his son and Mumbai Indians player Arjun Tendulkar. However, it is yet to know what Sachin was telling his son, but surely his teachings would be nothing less than a treasure.
As Mumbai is facing a massive win crisis in the tournament, Arjun's name was floating around on social media, claiming it's high time that Jr. Tendulkar should make his IPL debut. Notably, Mumbai Indians picked Arjun Tendulkar in two-day IPL auctions for Rs. 30 Lakh. Even in the previous season, Mumbai secured the services of Arjun Tendulkar, but the 22-year all-rounder is yet to make an IPL debut for his franchise.
Speaking of the ongoing match, Mumbai Indians need to win this match after having a disastrous start to their IPL campaign. They have struggled to even field four overseas and have not got the right combination. This will be a crucial game for them, and a loss here could put curtains on their campaign. On the other hand, Lucknow lost a thriller by three runs against Rajasthan in the previous match, which has seen them slip to fifth in the points table. They will be hoping to win this match and better their standings against other franchises.
