The Rohit Sharma-led Team India had a dominating series as they thumped their authority over the Ben Stokes-led England and clinched the series by 4-1 margin. Not only this, but with the win, India along with skipper Rohit Sharma became the first team to win a Test series by 4-1 margin in 112 years.
Moreover, the series saw India give five Test debut caps. While Rajat Patidar could not make the most of his chances in this series, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel were the most impactful. Khan, who earned his cap after a long wait, registered three 50-plus scores with his third coming in final Test of the series.
Moreover, the 26-year-old was also involved in some hilarious incidents in the middle during the five-match series and one of them came on Day 3 of the fifth Test in Dharamsala. The Indian batter was caught sledging England spinner Shoaib Bashir on Day 3’s play.

India go up to claim the top pot; England drop to eighth place

While India sits at the top spot with 68.51-point percentage, they are followed by New Zealand (60.00 percent), Australia (59.09 percent).
However, after a humiliating series loss, England dropped to the eighth place. From the 10 matches they have features in the WTC 2023-25 cycle, they have lost six and one have ended in a draw. With 21 points, they have a percentage of only 17.5.
