A Nigerian teacher was welcomed by a guard of honour by his South African students to which the latter replied by hitting Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark ‘Siuuu’. The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations saw Nigeria beat South Africa 4-2 on penalties in the semifinals to book a date with Ivory Coast in the summit stage.
The game finished 1-1 after a remarkable end to the regulation time, which had a Victor Osimhen goal disqualified that would have put the Super Eagles to 2-0. Teboho Mokoena converted from the spot in the 90th minute sending the game to extra time. Owing to Iheanacho’s antics in the shootout, Nigeria secured their berth in the final clash of the tournament against the Ivory Coast.
After the victory of Nigeria, a video has been doing rounds on social media, where a teacher wearing the Nigeria jersey could be seen hitting Cristiano Ronaldo's ‘Siuuu’ after he was welcomed by the South African students with a guard of honour.
