Defending champions Golden State Warriors defeated last season's NBA Eastern Conference finalists Miami Heat 123-110 at the Chase Center on Friday. Stephen Curry led the scoring charts in the game and violated Heat guard Tyler Herro in the final quarter of the game.

The 2022 NBA Finals MVP scored 33 points with 13 off 22 from the field and dropped seven three pointers against the Heat averaging 50% from beyond the arc.

During the final six minutes of the fourth quarter, Steph Curry pulled of a sensational move to break Tyler Herro's ankle and dropped a huge three-pointer to give the Warriors an eight-point lead over Miami. Curry registered 33 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

The entire Golden State Warriors combined to average 50 per cent from the field and 39.1 per cent from the three points mark. However, Miami Heat could manage an average of 44.3 per cent from the field and 32.6 per cent from three-point.

Apart from Curry, Klay Thompson (19) and Andrew Wiggins (18) scored the most points for the Warriors with dropping five and two three-pointers, respectively to help their side beat Miami. For Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler dropped 27 points, eight assists and six rebounds while Bam Adebayo score 26 points and made eight rebounds. 

Tyler Herro had a lackluster game against the Warriors as he managed to drop only seven points and made two assists and four rebounds in his 32 minutes of appearance.
