The ongoing T20 Blast 2023 witnessed one of the most unrealistic catches of all times when Steven Mullaney used the non-striker’s body to take a catch on his own bowling. Leicestershire’s Colin Ackermann got dismissed off Steven Mullaney’s delivery; however, what added an unexpected twist to the dismissal was the assist from Wiaan Mulder, who stood at the non-striker's end.

In another game of the ongoing Vitality Blast League played on June 20, Nottinghamshire were taking on Leicestershire, when the incident took place. On the first ball of the 13th over, Colin Ackermann attempted to strike the ball towards Mullaney. Initially, the bowler fumbled the catch, and failed to secure it firmly. The ball tossed upon the non-striker Mulder, and what resulted as a series of remarkable events, the ball ended up in the hands of Mullaney. Needless to say, the incident left Ackermann in absolute disbelief.
