During the Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, the half-time performance of Kendrick Lamar was crashed by a protester with a Palestine flag, waving it on the stage, and it had the words “Gaza” and “Sudan” written on it. Moments later, the protester was chased by security around the field at the Superdome in New Orleans before being tackled to the ground, and escorted out of the stadium in front of thousands of fans in attendance.
The footage of the incident has gone viral on the social media platform X wherein the protester stood on the top of the black Grand National car used in Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX half-time performance. It happened when the American rapper was ironically performing his final song of the evening, which is called “TV Off” before the protester made the security chase him for nearly 20 seconds on the field prior to getting taken down.

Despite the shocking incident, the Super Bowl LIX continued unabated at the Superdome wherein the Kansas City Chiefs were looking to win the coveted trophy for the third-time in a row. But, in their fifth Super Bowl in the last six years, Chiefs suffered a defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles, who demolished them with a 40-22 scoreline on the back of yet another incredible performance in the NFL 2024-25 season, especially in defense.
Jalen Hurts, the Eagles quarter-back, stepped up to the plate when it mattered the most, throwing a 46-yard touchdown pass, to help them secure an incredible win against the Chiefs. After being named the Most Valuable Player of the Super Bowl LIX, he was quoted as saying, as per BBC Sport, “I couldn't do any of this without the guys around me. Defence wins championships. We saw the difference they made in the game today.”
“Winning a national championship is just an unprecedented feeling. That kid in me always kept working at this, and I stayed true to his vision,” he added.
