India is all set to lock horns with Australia in the much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023. However, the Men in Blue lost the toss with Australia opting to bat first, the fans were treated with some good news from the middle in Nagpur.

In-form batter Suryakumar Yadav was rewarded finally, as he got his baggy cap from former India head coach Ravi Shastri. The 32-year-old was handed the cap number 304, becoming the 304th player to represent India in the longest format of the game.

 

Not only him, wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat was the other player to be handed the Test cap. The young wicketkeeper, who has been in the scheme of things for the Men in Blue finally got the cap from Test cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara.

It is to be noted that the families of the two debutants also joined them in Nagpur. A picture of KS Bharat hugging his mother is also doing rounds on the internet.
