Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav got hit on the head after he dropped a regulation catch against Delhi Capitals. After a decent start, the Capitals seem to have lost its ways as they were losing wickets at regular intervals. But with Axar Patel's arrival, the DC innings picked up pace.

As Patel faced off against Jason Behrendorff, he smashed the Australian down the ground on the fourth ball of the over. Unlike his previous shots, Axar miss-timed the ball and seemed like a straight-forward catch. But unfortunately for Surya, he mis-judged the catch as the ball went on to hit him straight on his head.

After this incident, Axar Patel continued his incredible form and went on to score his maiden half-century in the IPL. He reached this milestone in 22 balls and was soon dismissed at the score of 54 in 25 balls with four fours and five boundaries.

Reacting to this blistering innings, he spoke about going in with an aggressive mindset. He also spoke about how odd ball was stopping on the pitch and hence he was trying to hold his shape while hitting.

He said, "I was backing my confidence, went with an attacking mindset and the plan was if the ball was in my slot and I'd go for it. The ball was stopping a bit and I wanted to hold my shape while trying for the big hits. We posted a challenging s core and hopefully we can restrict them. There is enough in it for the bowlers."
