While there is always a chance of injury even for fans and technicians on the cricket field, it still remains a rare sight. Yet during the IPL 2022 match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, a six from the bat of Tilak Varma, which is usually a great sight for spectators, became a cause of concern for a cameraperson as it hit him on his head.

The incident happened on the fifth delivery of the 12th over of the Mumbai Indians' run chase of 193, which Varma smashed for a down the ground six. Trent Boult, who was the fielder down there, watched it sail over his head and hit the cameraman. While the member of the broadcasting crew signalled that he was alright, the New Zealander nonetheless, asked for a physio to check on him straightaway.

While Varma was threatening to take the match away from the opposition, eventually a twin wicket over from Yuzvendra Chahal turned the match on its head and RR eventually won by 23 runs. Kieron Pollard tried hard at the end but was far from his fluent best and managed to score 22 runs from 24 balls, getting out of the final delivery of the match.
