Trent Boult breathing fire at the Wankhede Stadium is not a new sight for IPL fans. The only difference this time around was that he was wearing a pink jersey rather than a blue one. The Rajasthan Royals pacer put on an exhibition of swing bowling against Lucknow Super Giants in his very first over.

Boult clean bowled KL Rahul on the very first ball he delivered on Sunday evening. The leftie came around the wicket for Rahul and bowled a beautiful inswinger to rattle LSG captain's stumps. He did not stop there. On the next legal delivery of his first over of the day, Trent Boult got his second wicket as he trapped Krishnappa Gowtham LBW.

For Gowtham, Boult bowled from over the wicket. He pitched the ball full and allowed it to swing. It was another inswinger from the Kiwi pacer to baffle Gowtham.

Lucknow crumble!

These two early blows from Trent Boult completely jolted Lucknow Super Giants' chase. They lost their captain on the very first ball of the innings. And never recovered from the blows in the first six overs at least. Also, some strange tactics from the LSG management worked in Rajasthan's favor. The decision to send Krishnappa Gowtham ahead of Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni, and Deepak Hooda did not yield the desired result as he went for a golden duck.

There was yet another surprise for the fans as Jason Holder walked out to bat at No.4. This too backfired as Holder departed after scoring 8 runs at a strike rate of 57.14. He perished to a length delivery from Prasidh Krishna. With back-to-back wickets falling, LSG were reduced to 31/3 in the first six overs. Quinton de Kock, however, held one end intact for Lucknow.
