Last ball sixes are undoubtedly one of the most exciting sights to watch in a game of cricket. From Javed Miandad to Brendon Taylor to Shivnarine Chanderpaul to Dinesh Karthik, many stylish batsmen have produced these kind of heroics in past which are still etched in the memories of all the fans. However, won't it become more interesting if a bowler does this? Well, this is exactly what happened in the recent game of Super Smash in New Zealand.
After bowling out Canterbury on 107, Northern Districts were cruising towards a comfortable victory in the T20 match. But after scoring 46 runs in 4.4 overs, they suffered a dramatic batting collapse much to the shock of everyone. In a matter of a few minutes, the game had become quite interesting as the Districts needed 8 runs in the final over with 4 wickets in hand.
A dramatic 20th over to end the match
The game was still in their hands but the sequence of events in the 20th over of the innings were absolutely bizarre. Here is the summary of the dramatic over:

With 6 runs needed on the final ball with 1 wicket in hand, Trent Boult got a good-length delivery as he slogged it towards the deep mid-wicket region for a huge six, winning the match for his side in a thrilling fashion. "I cannot believe what I am just seeing. Trent Boult! I am losing my mind," screamed the on-air commentator.

After the match, Trent Boult looked delighted to play a key role with the bat which is not his strongest area in the game. While acknowledging the small crowd that turned up in Mount Maunganui, the 32-year-old admitted that it was a great game of cricket.
With a big smile on his face, he also reflected on his match-winning six as he said, "I am not going to give you any coaching lessons.. it was a simple equation, happy that it came off."
