In the third T20I, Sri Lanka restricted England to 116 runs in 19 overs as skipper Chamari Athapaththu picked up three wickets while Udeshika Prabodhani and Kavisha Dilhari took two wickets each. While chasing the target, the in-form Sri Lanka skipper scored 44 off 28 to give a tremendous start to her side as they went on to win the game in 17 overs.

After the game, Chamari Athapaththu, the player of the match and series, said, "I’m really happy with my performance and the team’s performance. I’ve worked hard in the nets in the last few months. We’ve played some good cricket recently against Bangladesh and New Zealand and we continued it in this series."

England’s captain Heather Knight said, "Credit to Sri Lanka. They played brilliantly in the last two games. They had a clear plan and we need to be better in certain areas – particularly playing spin. We haven’t been at our best and we’ve been punished."
