India and Pakistan are all set for the epic rivalry that will come alive on Sunday (23 October) and so are the fans of both teams. The build-up to the game is massive (as usual). There is so much talk happening around the game and as is the case in India, Bollywood and cricket are inseparable. The two industries go hand-in-hand with professionals from both sectors are often seen admiring each other.
This also means Bollywood celebrities get an opportunity to promote their upcoming projects through shows hosted around the game of cricket. And what better place to promote anything during India vs Pakistan. Actor Varun Dhawan got the chance to promote his upcoming film ‘Bhediya’ by participating in the pre-match show of the biggest cricketing rivalry. But Dhawan forgot to do his homework before coming to the show.
The actor’s lack of knowledge about the upcoming match was exposed when he was asked to name his picks for the ‘Indian players to watch out for’ in the game. Dhawan started his list with Virat Kohli (obviously). He then named Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. His fourth name was Jasprit Bumrah. “Virat Kohli is there, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul all will play an important role but I think Jasprit Bumrah will play a big role,” said Dhawan.
The Bollywood actor was immediately informed that Bumrah is not playing as he was ruled out long ago. Dhawan could do nothing but only say, “Oh yaar suna tha ye (Oh man, I had heard about it)” in embarrassment.

Coming to the game, it is set to get underway at 1:30 PM IST. It seems the rain gods have also postponed their plans and are waiting for the biggest cricketing rivalry to take place as the weather has improved significantly ahead of the match.
