Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon finally broke silence on getting left out from the tribute night for the late Hulk Hogan by the WWE. Notably, Hogan passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 71 years on July 24, 2025. Days after his passing, the WWE held a 10-bell tribute night for Hogan and didn't include McMahon in that. In his recent interview, The former WWE Chairman didn’t seem happy about getting sidelined from the ceremony.
During his appearance on TMZ for the ‘Real Hulk Hogan’ documentary, the host told Vince McMahon, that he was ‘struck’ by not watching him in the tribute ceremony. To this, McMahon replied with “Struck me that way as well.” Vince McMahon was a great friend to Hulk Hogan and also played a big role in making ‘Hulkamania’ a global phenomenon.
Hulk Hogan wasn’t a racist: Vince McMohan
Speaking further, Vince McMahon also diminished the claims of Hulk Hogan being a racist. Back in 2015, a tape featured a video from 2007 where Hogan was seen using racial slurs for his daughter Brooke’s ex-boyfriend. As per several reports, Hogan was also seen using the same slurs with his son over a phone call after which his wrestling contract was terminated on July 24, 2015.
"I knew he wasn't a racist. He was there for so many years. He wasn't racist, he said some racist things. He should pay for that and he did. But in the end, I think everyone saw the real Hulk Hogan and they felt, 'Wait a minute, he doesn't act like a racist. He is not a racist.' We all make mistakes but he wasn't a racist." McMahon said.
