Los Blancos had a remarkable game last night in El Derbi, as they extended their lead over defending champions Atletico Madrid with a 2-0 home win. Karim Benzema’s opening goal, followed by Asensio in the 57th minute, sealed it for Real Madrid. However, the MVP of the match was undoubtedly Vinicious Junior who created both the goals, assisting Benzema and Asensio, along with creating the most chances (four) in the game.
An intriguing incident took place in the match, where a skill by the 21-year-old stunned the players and fans alike. In the second half, Vincius’ bodied an insane skill that made Angel Correa glitch during the game, and he was seen tumbling to the floor. The Argentine winger attempted to track down Junior, however he fell prey to the young gun’s skill.

Ancelotti praises Vinicius for after Real’s win in El Derbi
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti heaped praise for the 21-year-old following the club’s win over Atletico Madrid. “I have always said he will be effective. That he doesn’t dribble for the sake of it. If he thinks it’s right to dribble, to pass, to shoot, he does it. He has to do things to help the team. Today, he hasn’t gone one-on-one with Llorente and he has given two assists”, Ancelotti expressed highlighting that Vinicius is always on the lookout of improving himself.
After this game, the Brazilian has 12 goals and 9 assist to his name in 23 matches, across all competitions this season. Los Blancos are having an extraordinary run this season, as they currently dominate the table sitting at the top with 13 wins in 17 games.
