Yet another moment of celebration occurred during the ongoing 3rd ODI between India and Bangladesh. Notably, India is locking horns with Bangladesh in the third and final ODI of the series and will next play two-match Test series in the neighbouring country.
Virat Kohli and Ishan Kishan were two players who starred in the India innings. While one scored a century, the other went on to register his maiden century in ODIs and double the happiness with a daddy hundred.
Virat Kohli, who recently ended his three-year-long century drought in the Asia Cup, registered his 72nd century against Bangladesh. With this crucial hundred, he surpassed Ricky Ponting who has 71 centuries to his name.

Talking about Virat Kohli’s numbers, the batter has smashed a century in ODI after 1214 days, bring his 44 th in the 50-over format. He also became the batter to score most runs on Bangladesh soil (1097 runs), surpassing Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara (1045 runs).
