Maintaining their dominance in the West Indies vs India Test, the Asian Giants posted a total of 312 runs on the board, extending the lead to 162 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led team is two wickets down, and it took them 113 overs to put up the score. On their side, debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal remains unbeaten on the crease at 143 runs off 350 balls along with the star batter, Virat Kohli, who is batting at 36 from 96 balls. The former India skipper took his own time to score runs and managed to pull off the first boundary in 81 balls, and as special as it was, the boundary called for a celebration from the India legend.
The star Indian batter kept it quite easy against the Caribbean rivals and was seemingly in a relaxed mood. Playing the game at his own pace, Kohli smacked his first and only boundary by the end of the second day’s play on the fifth ball of the 109th over. After the Jomel Warrican delivery crossed the boundary hitting Kohli’s bat, the ex-skipper could be seen celebrating it.

Regarded as one of the greatest cricketers in the world, King Kohli, as he is called, punched his hand in the air, and simply couldn’t stop smiling post that. Ian Bishop, who was on the commentary panel said, “Gets it through the gap for one of the typical … Virat Kohli shouts and he punches in the air as he gets a boundary.”
During his stay on the crease on day 2, Kohli surpassed former India opener Virender Sehwag's 8503 runs tally to become the fifth-leading run scorer for India in the longest format. Kohli took 186 innings to break Sehwag’s record of 178 innings in 103 Test games to achieve the feat.
