Mehidy Hasan Miraz-powered Bangladesh notched up a thrilling 1-wicket win against Team India in the first of three-match ODI series, at Shere Bangla National Stadium, in Dhaka. While chasing 186, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das rescued the host from an early blow but lack of character from the middle-order put visitors in the driving seat.
However, it was Mehidy Hasan’s heroism towards the end of the game turned the game on its head as he stitched a crucial match-winning stand with Mustafizur Rahman (10 off 11) to sail Bangladesh over the winning line.
Meanwhile, an interesting video involving former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim has been gaining a lot of traction. The video clearly shows the competitive nature of the dynamic Indian batter who was seen charging up at the Bangladesh batter for a run-out. In response, Rahim invited Kohli to hit the stumps.

For India, Md. Siraj bagged three wickets in the 2nd innings, while Kuldeep Sen and Washington Sundar picked two wickets each to push Bangladesh to the backfoot. However, Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman stitched an unprecedented partnership to ensure a lead in the three-match bilateral contest.
