The fourth Test between India and Australia is underway at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With a little help from the wicket, batters are enjoying a good time in the middle but that does not mean runs have come easy for either of the teams. While Australia took around 168 overs to score 480 runs, India too have had to sweat hard for every run.
Amid this cat-and-mouse game, Virat Kohli lost his cool with his partner KS Bharat. As Kohli was trying to sneak in a single against Todd Murphy in the 109th over of India’s innings, Bharat turned down the request as he spotted a fielder charging at the ball. But Kohli was already a few yards down the pitch by then and he had to hurry back into the crease to save himself.
The senior batter was not pleased with this. He turned around and shouted at Bharat while also giving him a death stare. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri aptly described Kohli’s look as he reckoned “If looks could kill”. KS Bharat, meanwhile, was seen avoiding eye contact with Kohli.

Notably, Kohli was eyeing his 75th international century and was searching for runs. Nevertheless, the batter eventually completed his century as he nudged a full ball from Nathan Lyon.
