India star batter Virat Kohli seems to found his mojo back as the batter is back among the runs for India. After starting 2023 with a century, Kohli hit another one in the third ODI against Sri Lanka on Sunday. As India captain Rohit Sharma opted to bat first, India piled up big runs against Sri Lanka with Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli topping the run charts. While Gill perished after adding 116 runs, Kohli continued to pile on Sri Lanka’s misery after scoring his 46th ODI ton.
The 34-year-old broke free as soon as he crossed the three-figure mark. Kohli hit a couple of audacious shots including a helicopter shot against Kasun Rajitha. On the fourth ball of the 44th over of India’s innings, Rajitha bowled a back-of-hand slower ball. Meanwhile, Kohli read the change in pace and came down the track to get to the pitch of the ball. The batter then swayed his bat through the line to send the ball sailing into the stands for a 97-metre six.
And the way Kohli followed through at the end of the shot, it had shaded of MS Dhoni’s famous helicopter shot.
