The stage is set for the highly anticipated match of the T20 World Cup 2024India versus Pakistan. The arch-nemesis will take the field at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, June 9 to revive their cricketing rivalry, which is only limited to International Cricket Council (ICC) tournaments now.

While the Rohit Sharma-led Men in Blue will come back after registering an eight-wicket win against Ireland in their tournament opener, the Men in Green on the other hand, will aim to remain in the competition after they lost their opening game against the co-hosts USA in the Group A clash. In the video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), captain Rohit Sharma, along with Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, top-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav were seen hitting hard in the nets. Apart from them, it was Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, the spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal that took down some throwdowns. All-rounder Shivam Dube was also seen getting a few chances to bowl ahead of the high-octane clash.

In another video shared by the official broadcasters of the T20 World Cup 2024, Star Sports, former India captain and batting stalwart Virat Kohli was seen sharpening his skills with the bat as well as he performed some fielding drills ahead of the India versus Pakistan clash. 

Virat Kohli, who had a forgetful debut as an opener in T20 World Cup 2024 saw him stay on the crease for just five balls, scoring just one run. The 35-year-old looked in the zone, timing the ball perfectly, accompanied by playing some of his drive and pull shots.
