As India aim for a clean sweep against England in third ODI at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 12, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) launched an awareness campaign ahead of the final ODI. Notably, ICC Chairman Jay Shah announced the launch of the initiative named ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives' and pledge for organ donation. The BCCI also posted a video where we can see several star players from the Indian cricket team urging the fans to take part in the initiative during the third ODI in Ahmedabad on February 12. 

In a video posted by the BCCI on their social media, players like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant and others can be seen urging people to register as donors take part in the initiative by the board. "Score the ultimate century, your organs can help others live beyond your lifetime. Register as a donor and make every life count," Kohli was  quoted as saying in a video.

Make a difference: Jay Shah announces ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ initiative ahead of IND vs ENG 3rd ODI

Former BCCI secretary and current ICC chairman Jay Shah also urged the fans to take part in the BCCI’s ‘Donate Organs, Save Lives’ and register as donors. The initiative is set to be launched during the third ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on February 12. 

“On the occasion of the 3rd ODI between India and England in Ahmedabad on February 12th, we are proud to launch an awareness initiative - "Donate Organs, Save Lives." Sport has the power to inspire, unite, and create lasting impact beyond the field. Through this initiative, we urge everyone to take a step towards giving the greatest gift of all - the gift of life. One pledge, one decision, can save multiple lives. Let’s come together and make a difference!” Jay Shah wrote on his X post.
