Former India Test captain Virat Kohli tolerates no-nonsense. Either on the pitch or off it, Kohli usually does not take a stance on non-cricket issues but when in matters concerning him or the players in the Indian setup which seem to irk him, he is pretty vocal about things. A similar incident happened during India's practice match against Leicestershire ahead of their one-off Test match against England.

During the match when a fan was constantly bothering Kamlesh Nagarkoti who was fielding near the boundary line, Kohli spotted him from the dressing room balcony and told him to refrain from doing the same. In the video posted on Twitter, the user claims that the said fan was trying to make fun of the bowler which irked Kohli and he decided to teach the fan a lesson himself.

A video of Kohli telling the fan to stop perturbing Nagarkoti has gone viral.

Notably, Nagarkoti has travelled with the Indian team as a net bowler and is not part of the Test squad for the one-off match which is part of the unfinished Test series which started in 2021. The last match of India's previous tour had to be postponed owing to COVID-19 cases in the Indian camp and the two boards decided to reschedule that fixture.

India’s squad for the rescheduled fifth Test vs England: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Prasidh Krishna, Srikar Bharat (wk)
