The Pakistan Super League 2023 is nearing its business end with Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United almost sealing their Playoffs berth. The Peshawar Zalmi had to face another defeat in their match against Quetta Gladiators on March 8 (Wednesday).
But a hilarious incident took place in the match when Peshawar Zalimi and Pakistan bowler Wahab Riaz went upto Martin Guptill and kissed on his helmet after taking his wicket in third over of the Gladiators innings. On the fifth delivery of the third over, Guptill tried to rush the length delivery but Riaz picked the dolly, dismissing the batter.
He then rushed towards New Zealand cricketer and planted a kiss on the left side of the helmet grill.

Talking about the match, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to bat first. The Babar Azam-led side then posted 240/2 in their 20 overs. The Mohammad Nawaz-led side then took down the total in just 18.2 overs to cross the line. Jason Roy with his unbeaten 145 off 63 balls was awarded the player of the match.
