Wanindu Hasaranga is one of those cricketers in world right now who is constantly coming up with some outstanding performances, especially in the shortest format of game. The 24-year-old produced some heroic efforts, with both bat and ball, against England and India. He then followed it up with some magical spells of bowling during the T20 World Cup 2021.

And it seems like the all-rounder has no plans of stopping any soon. Hasaranga has continued to impress everyone in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League with his bowling in the tournament and has constantly bamboozled batsmen with his leg-spin and googlies. He also played a cameo with the bat in one of the matches but this time around, the Sri Lankan showed his magic while fielding.

Magical effort on the field by Hasaranga

During match 18 of Abu Dhabi T10 League between Chennai Braves and Deccan Gladiators, Hasaranga shocked everyone with a spectacular effort on the boundary. After the Braves got off to a steady start, Mohammad Shahzad tried to continue the momentum as he played a slog shot off the bowling of David Wiese in the 3rd over.

It looked like a certain six with Shahzad striking the ball from the middle of his bat. The ball was sailing over Hasaranga, who was fielding at the boundary but the Sri Lankan flew himself in the air, got his hands in a perfect position before spectacularly pushing the ball back inside the playing area. The batsmen could only complete 1 run during the process as Hasaranga certainly saved 5 runs for his side.

Hasaranga continues his magic with bowling

After getting some confidence from his fielding effort, the leg-spinner then transpired it to his bowling as he wreaked havoc in Abu Dhabi. Hasaranga registered a sensational spell with ball (2-0-9-3) as the Braves were bowled out on 57. In reply, the Gladiators hunted down the target in 6 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Notably, Hasaranga was adjudged the 'man of the match' for his heroic outing.
