India are currently facing the hosts England in the fourth Test of a five-match series at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. Trailing by 1-2 in the series, it is a crucial game for India who are looking for their first Test series win in England after 2007. Winning the toss in an important game, England skipper Ben Stokes asked India to bat first in Manchester.
While opening the innings for India alongside KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal broke his bat while facing Chris Woakes’ delivery during the first session of day one of the Manchester Test. The incident unfolded in during the ninth over of the innings, when Woakes bowled a short length delivery which Jaiswal tried to defend on back-foot. However, as soon as the ball connected with the bat, it got snapped from the middle and Jaiswal had to change his bat.
Anshul Kamboj makes his Test debut in Manchester
Talking about the match, it turned out to be a big moment for 24-year-old Anshul Kamboj, who got to make his Test debut in a match against England at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. Kamboj was called as a cover after Arshdeep Singh sustained a blow on his hand. He will now be seen taking charge of the Indian fast bowling lineup along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
